How fast they grow

I know probably every mom says this, but I just can't believe how fast the kids grow.  This picture of Lilly reminds me of her crusties she gave when she was little.  Now she smiles a lot, but that wasn't the case before.  I love her eyes.  She really is a joy to have around and I love her so much.

So Serious.

This guy here, what can I say?...  A real litte man.  He often tells me when he grows up he wants to drive a tank, but not be in the army.  He makes me laugh so often, that without his bit of humor, I feel my life would be quite dull.   I love the squinty eye.
Don't mess with me.

These pictures I took because I wanted to have a matching set for my wall, which I still need to get up.  Timmy  really is such a big boy now.
All boy.

Lilly looks so peacful here. I miss her locks, but I am finding that the short hair is still cute and she will always be beautiful no matter what,.  I love how big her eyes are.
Who me?

Our Scissor Fiasco!

(Mommy)...So while I was busy in the bathroom, I hear Timmy yelling to me.... "Mommy, look at how handsome my hair is." So of course I finish doing my business and come out and find this.

So, I had to use the number 2 on the buzzer, with the shortest blade selection. He asked me if he was going to be bald and I pretty much told him yes, and if I had to buzz Lilly's hair, then I would shave all of his off!!!

It turns out that Timmy, after cutting his own hair, gave (shared) the scissor with dear Lilly, who proceeded to do this to her hair.

Need I say how upset I was. She had the perfect hair. It was fine, but thick and I could pretty much do anything to it. French rolls, braids, cute little things....And when it was wet it was passed the middle of her back.

This was all the locks that fell on the floor. I don't know how much I had to cut off, but it was crazy. I really tried to do an a-line, but I couldn't get it to blend with where she cut it off, so I finally decided to buckle down and just cut it off.
The evidence....The incriminating scissors and the locks of hair found in the half-bath.
Lilly's saved lock of hair from her first haircut. Which I may have already lost.
Lilly's back of the head shot. Not too bad. But I told her we would be wearing a lot of flowers and headbands.
I don't think she was near as sad about the short hair as I was... When daddy came home....he said she looked like Peter Pan....Lilly lauhged and said in a singsong voice.... " I look like Peter Pan. He he he."
ken also said when he came home... "well, I always wanted another boy!" I am glad I was able to keep the top long. And everyone says all kids cut their hair at least once, so I am hopefull that this will never happen again, unless it is planned by me. :)

Mommy took a picture of me for my first day. I have a pack-pack and everything. I am so excited for school.

We had to line up and wait for our teacher to come and get us. The play ground was a lot of fun.

This is my teacher Mrs. Wolfe and me. I think she is very nice. She told me a secret... That I'm smart.

So it really has been a long time. Today was my first day of Kindergarten! I am going to Highland Elementary and I had such a fun time. Mommy and I walked there. We had to walk a little fast so I wouldn't be late. My teacher's name is Mrs. Wolfe, but she doesn't look at all like a wolf. She is very nice too. I learned about all sorts of things today and made some new friends. We didn't get a snack though. I am such a big boy now. I don't get to ride the bus like I would have at the old house, but it was fun walking. Hip Hip Horray for Kindergarten. :)

A note from Mommy.
I have to say that I was very excited for Timmy to go to school. I loved kindergarted and my teacher Mrs. Northrup. It was so much fun. The learning, the playing, and we did get snacks. I sure hope that Timmy has a thirst for knowledge and a love for reading. I am proud of you Timms and love you so much. You are growing up so fast. I know that you will have a lot of fun you smart boy you.

The Dinosaur Museum
We went to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point. I had a lot of fun building the dinosaur. We made him have spikes off his tummy and all sorts of other things. We went there with a lot of cousins and again had a fun time.
Daddy put me on top of it too. Look how tall I am. I am as big as Daddy. Daddy wanted to put Lulu on, but she was too scared.
The erosion table is a lot of fun. Nikki and I had a lot of fun playing with the Dinosaurs. Look at how big I am now. The last time I played here, I could hardly reach the sand. I am growing!
Conor and Caleb had fun in the erosion table too. We all got to wear those cool blue aprons to protect our clothes from all the water.

A new addition to our family

We have a new family member. Our precious Dodo Kitty came to us yesterday. :) Mommy saved him from going to the pound. Isn't he so cute. Timmy and I are crazy with happiness, and Daddy even likes him. Of course Mommy loves him too.

Dodo playing with a little soft ball that Timmy and I were rolling to him.

This is Dodo's Castle. It is his safe place and Mommy says I am not to touch him when he is in there. I have a hard time obeying, because I want to hold and hug him all the time.
Can you see how happy I am to have a little Kitty of my own?

Here is Timmy telling Mommy that he loves Dodo. Timmy actually named Dodo. It is pronounced like Dough Dough. I like to call him Titty (Kitty) but Mommy calls him Mr. Dodo Kitty. He has a lot of names and is so much fun.
Thanks Mommy and Daddy. We love our Kitty.

Just a little update from Mommy : So I am a member of Freecycle, and I saw on the site that a family had a bunch of kittens and they had to be gone by a certain day or they would be sent to the pound. I just couldn't stand to have that happen (thanks to my Mother, I am a lover of animals), so I wrote them an email (after asking ken) to tell them we would love one of the male kittens. Well I didn't hear back, so I thought that they were all gone. I think Ken was happy that they were gone. But then we got a call asking us if we still wanted a male kitten. Their computer crashed and they couldn't respond to the email. So while I was at enrichment teaching a cooking class, Ken took the kids and went to get the Kitty and all the supplies to take care of him. We will see how the kids do, but from all evidence so far.....They might love him to death!

Happy Fourth of July. Here we are as a family. I wasn't too happy to have my picture taken. Mommy says I didn't get enough sleep after all the activities yesterday. But I do love my family.
This is Grandma and Grandpa Johnson. We love them so much. I love playing over at their house and playing with the kitchen toys.
Here is our cousin Cody. He was playing and he sure got dirty.

Ahhh. All clean.
Here is a group photo of all the boys in the family that have Grandpa's name in their name. Douglas is a great name.

Our Fourth of July celebration on the 3rd. It was a lot of fun. Eric and Shelly were still here, and so were a lot of the cousins. Again Timmy and I had fun with the sparklers. I did burn my finger a little bit trying to touch the sparkles, but I learned my lesson.

Here is cousin Joey. He was covering his ears because our Johnson firework display was so loud and crazy. The uncles sure know how to put on a good display!

I loved sitting with Daddy. I helped him pick out which fireworks we would shoot off. I had such a blast. I love the fourth of July where we celebrate our Country. I was so happy as you can tell from my smile. :)

Here are Grandma and Grandpa Johnson sitting on their swing. We love them sooooo much.

Hallie Jo and I joined Grandma and Grandpa a little later when it started to get little chillier. We had such a fun time. We love this country and we love to celebrate it's independence.

We went to the Provo Fourth of July Parade. We got some candy and I was so nice. I shared some of my sucker with Timmy.
Do you like my hair? Mommy put sunblock all over my head so I wouldn't get a sunburn. I got really hot and my face was really red, but I didn't mind as long as I got my candy.
